I don’t think I could even feel my biceps after this one. I kept looking for the pump in my arms you sometimes feel after a good resistance workout but my arms were just numb. Feeling a nice little soreness today though. This was a pretty cool workout. Loved the glamour muscle concentration. As a I guy, we always look for that bicep bulge right? Guilty. Mine have always been conspicuousluy absent though. Hopefully a little dose of Tony Horton and P90X will fix that.
Ab Ripper X gets the short stick in most of my posts. Barely a mention. Probably because it’s done at the end of a hard workout and my mind is already numb with fatigue. Last nights was a pretty good one though. I hit 25 reps for in and outs, bicycle, reverse bicycle before having to take a break with crunchy frogs. Even did 25 reps of wide leg sit-ups for the first time. Fifer Scissor remains a tough one usually getting me after 8 and forcing me to rest. The last two ABX sessions I was able to do 40 mason twists. Definitely seeing improvement with Ab Ripper X.

There are days when you go into the work out dreading it for one reason or another. Last night I was just feeling tired and unmotivated. I really thought I was going to have a tough time getting through the workout and doing well. Quite the opposite happened. I ended up having a pretty good workout and really brought it. I nailed the wall squats and single leg wall squats for the first time and that really had me pumped up. I even managed to get through the sneaky lunges which have always given me some trouble. You never know whats going to happen in a workout. Don’t let yourself get psyched out before you start. Keep pushing play and you’ll be surprised what happens.

Yeah baby! Felt good to bust this workout off tonight. Last chest and back for a few weeks with the “rest” week coming up. I really tried to hit my goals for each set and push them at least 2-3 over last weeks numbers. Didn’t always make it but I was pushing myself hard. By the end of workout I didn’t want to get off of the floor.
Unfortunately my shoulder is sore again and really making it tough. Hasn’t stopped me but it’s not going away yet. Hopefully the rest week will give my shoulder the rest it needs.

Yes! That felt awesome. Got geared up and pumped on Twitter first and then Brought It with everything I had tonight. My legs were on fire and my blood was pumping. Made through the wall squats and single leg wall squats this time. Talk about feeling like there are hot coals in your muscles! You know you are working those quads. No doubt.
Then to give it that extra umph I made it through 40 mason twists for the first time. Exhausted.

I do like this workout. Feels good to hit those biceps and triceps. Unfortunately it’s a little rough on the shoulders, both of which I had partially dislocated when I was younger and definitely more foolish. Tonights shoulder exercises were tough. My left shoulder was already in pain from the Chest and Back workout on Monday. I pushed through it. No excuses. Iced it down along with the lower back. Drank my own version of the Results and Recovery drink and now it’s time for bed.
