A P90X FAQ

A P90X FAQ

Posted on 28 April 2010 by Paul

I found this FAQ from another guy who completed P90X and found the information to be very useful.  P90X has been around for years, since 2004, and there is a lot of information available about it.  A lot of information that is probably crap as well.  Like anything on the internet, you have to do a little digging, sometimes, to find the jewels.  I think this is one of them and worth reading through if you are trying to complete your first 90 days of P90X.  In particular I was interested in the Alternative Supplements section.

Another good section is on the nutrition plan.  He mentions how it is confusing for some people and even contradictory.  I would probably agree that it is not as straight forward as it could be.  I think the P90X nutrition guide is trying to provide options and flexibility and this can cause some people to just get lost.  I personally found the Insanity Nutrition Guide to be much easier to understand and have adopted it for now to use with P90X.

Day 2 of P90X

Posted on 27 April 2010 by Paul

Tonight will be the first Plyometrics workout.  Many years ago during one season of High School track we did some plyometrics.  The X work in Power 90 probably will not compare to what’s in store.  I’m looking forward to it.

Woke up pretty sore in the left arm and shoulder.  Feels good to be reminded how hard of a workout I’m doing.  I like the challenge of it.

It has been a rough nutrition day.  Car problems for my wife and server problems at work have had me running around all morning.  Haven’t had as much water as I normally drink by now and missed the 2nd meal/snack before lunch.

It’s Day 1 of P90X

Posted on 26 April 2010 by Paul

You’ve seen it on TV and you’ve probably heard about it on the radio.  P90X has invaded my life and now I’m taking up the challenge of completing the 90 days of this intense fitness program.

I warmed up for P90X with 6 weeks of Power 90, the prequel workout DVD(?) by Tony Horton.  Why not 90 days of Power 90 you ask?  Well in 12 weeks the family departs for our summer vacation to the beach.  This year I’m not wearing a T-shirt to hide the pasty white gut.  No sir.  I’m wanted to complete the entire 90 days of P90X and get the maximum results in that period of time.

Chest and Back followed by Ab Ripper X is on deck and I’m psyched to get my butt kicked!
