It’s day 5. Time for more pullups.
Some of these leg excersices are the hardest in the entire program. I can’t do an unassisted pullup but body parts aren’t burning while doing an assisted one. The wall squats are beasts. Imagine my shock when he said “One legged wall squat.” I was like “WTF Dude!” I managed to do both, although not the entire time. I’ve never felt anything like the fire that was in my quads.
On the food front, things are going perfectly. I’ve increased my use of protein shakes to increase the protein/carb ration more in favor of the protein. Today I made some turkey chili and it took all my will not to eat saltine crackers with it. That was a family thing to use saltines and they are my weakness with chili. A piece of whole wheat bread was adequate.
I’ll be back for more tomorrow.

And now for something different…
Brilliant. While Yoga X was not easy, it was exactly what I needed. I actually felt better after the workout instead of tired and beat down. Less sore.
There were a few moves I could not even attempt. Most I could attempt. There were even a few I managed to complete even though I thought there was no way! I guess I’m getting stronger and more flexible between the start of my P90 time and now.

Another day, another set of sore muscles. I love it. You really know your doing a serious workout when the next day you are sore in places you didn’t realize could be sore.
Today is turning out to be another of those tough nutrition days. Not with eating the correct things but in eating the meals in a nice even time distribution. Eating those 5 meals a day is so important to keeping your energy up and increasing your metabolism.

Tony starts off talking about Plyometrics putting the X in P90X. He really is not kidding. Feels great to make it through that workout. My thighs were dead before the half way mark.
Tonight is Shoulders & Arms followed by what should be another grueling Ab Ripper X. My left arm is still fairly sore so this should be a challenge to get through.
If I haven’t mentioned it yet, my wife is also doing P90X with me. We are both feeling the burn and it feels good.
